Sometimes life is filled with big, glamorous travel plans. Sometimes it's just a series of small happenings. Both are important.
September, 2013. The VERY FIRST Salt Lake Comic Con, back before they got sued into changing their name.
Rainy fall days and over-the-top Instagram filters. The view from my old office.
My first time repairing... anything?? Probably. Definitely not my first time taking anything apart, but almost certainly the first time I put something back together correctly.
My mom's cat, though I can't remember which cat this was. I had wanted a cat for the longest time, and my mom waited until I moved out to get one. Something about the concerns around "having two wild animals in the house at the same time."
Geese at Decker Lake, where I usually ate lunch.
Dim Sum with my wife and a friend. Notable not for being my first dim sum, but for being my first time trying chicken feet. When I was very young I would occasionally stick my toes in my mouth, and I assumed eating chicken feet would be a similar experience. I wasn't far off.
Getting into November, now. This was my first ever pie from scratch. I'm pretty sure I forgot some of the liquid, and the pumpkin was probably a little under-processed (you can still see the fibers in this photo), but it was still very much worth the effort.
Getting into December. My first (and only) Holiday Clothing Drive. Turns out, most of the charities around here are swamped with clothes already, so a big uptick in clothes around December doesn't really help them. Oops.
